Your eyes

so round and warm, a million miles they find inside me, secrets they see in me, yet with one look they discover and lies they unveil, deeper than the ocean they are and warmer than the sun, stare and stare again, soft as silk they are and oh how they smile tempt me with their curve entice me with their glow I'm lost in them how I love your eyes please, will you stare at me? in your eyes, I see the promise of our tomorrow, the flutter of doves' wings, the joy of a baby's first step, of love fulfilled, I taste the sweetness of berries in your gaze, I feel the heat like sun reflecting on my skin from sand and sea, I see the possibilities everything we could be, if my lips met your lips,

my heart met your heart,

oh, how I wish we could acquaint our souls together

as we do our eyes. Copyright © 2018 by Danielle Neveles
