Not Enough

It is not enough that we are free For we must exercise our freedom For change, To change the world And create better spaces And better places for those Who will come after us. It is not enough that we are free If we use our freedom for Nothing. We must act. Lift up our voices And leverage our freedom to speak. It is not enough to be free If all we do is exist. Our freedom was won So that we could do more than exist. We have to be our own agents of change. It is not enough to complain Or discuss what needs to be done Unless we are willing to change it. Our freedom was not free And neither is the future For those behind us. It is not enough to be free For we must fight everyday To maintain our freedom. We must earn our freedom Everyday by our actions. Anything less is not enough.
